When?

We’re on the lookout for volunteers to join us for 6 to 8 weeks, between March 20 and October 31.

What kind of profile are we looking for?

We warmly welcome individuals—whether you’re a recent grad, an adventurous traveler, taking a breather from your career, or exploring a new career path—to share your skills and passions with us.

At Pyren’Escape, we believe that everyone has unique abilities that can enrich our community. Our youngest volunteer was 23, and our oldest was 62, so we welcome everyone!

What is mandatory:

• Speaking English
• Community Vibe: You enjoy being part of a community and have a knack for bringing folks together.
• Helper/Problem Solver: You’re happy to lend a hand whenever needed and are all about going the extra mile to make guests feel right at home.
• You take pride in keeping spaces organized, and you’re okay with helping out with tidying up when needed.
• You love experiencing new cultures and meeting people from around the world.

What is a plus:

• Speaking French and/or Spanish is a great bonus
• If you have a valid driver’s license in France and are comfortable driving on the right side with a manual vehicle
• Having your own car is a plus (we cover transport costs related to activities)
• Being handy and enjoying manual work
• You’ve got an eye for photography and enjoy capturing moments for social media (we’re always looking for fresh content for our Instagram, Facebook, and website)
• Previous experience in coliving or volunteering is always welcome
• If you love cooking, fiddling around, organizing activities, or sports – we’d love that!
• Got a special talent? We’d love to see how you can share it with our community!

What will you be required to do?

Ready to help us around the house and community for 20 hours a week max:

Running a coliving space is different every day: welcoming colivers, gardening, facilitating community activities, repairing furniture, creating content, improving the coliving space… here, there’s no routine!

We usually work with 3 volunteers who have different and complementary profiles, so we can distribute tasks according to each person’s skills.
Here are some examples of tasks:

• Coordinating and welcoming guests: You’ll be available for guests and make them feel at home on arrival and during their stay. You’ll provide them with all the information they’ll need to feel comfortable and connected within the community and in our mountains.
• Helping around the house, which sometimes may involve cleaning and getting your hands dirty. You are willing to participate in various day-to-day housekeeping projects to ensure the space is kept in good condition (cleaning = approximately 10h per week). We usually have some cleaners who join us and we encourage a clean-up-after-yourself culture; however, on a day-to-day basis, you’ll have to ensure that the space is kept clean and tidy.
• Reporting any problems that arise to the team
• DIY: reshaping furniture, gardening, maintenance…
• Offering animations or workshops to the community
• Short transportation for our guests (transfers, groceries, activities…) if you have a driving license usable in Europe
