A family story
Who are we?

Discover our story
During a family trip, just after the lockdown, while we were wondering how to give more meaning to our activities, we decided to transform our large guesthouse into a meeting place for people wanting to bring projects to fruition.
The concept of coliving, familiar to traveling children, naturally emerged and mobilized the whole family. A year and a half later, we're here, and the Terrasses de Saubissan has given way to Pyren'Escape, the first rural coliving facility in the French Pyrenees.
A family story : By digital nomads, for digital nomads
Meet our Team Family
Vincent
He loves cooking, nature, horses, encounters, art (and especially cinema) and tai chi.
His credo: “Let’s hurry slowly” His project: “Welcoming and helping to mature”
Clairie
Passionate about outdoor sports, she practices paragliding on a daily basis, as well as skiing and mountain biking.
But what she prefers above all is to share moments with her children such as traveling.
Yael
Pyrenean since always, Yaël is the ray of sunshine of the place.
Freelance in communication and sports events recently, she is always ready for adventure, with lots of good vibes.
Grandma
After numerous trips around the world (New Zealand, Mexico, Philippines, Brazil, Madagascar, South Africa, etc.), he has now established his base camp between Barcelona and Switzerland, but never far from his van.
From the Pyrenees and other regions, he manages the digital strategy of Pyren'Escape.
Why Pyren'Escape?
Formerly Les Terrasses de Saubissan, Pyren'Escape is a former farmhouse, located in the heart of the Pyrenees, where the mountains are at their highest.
When we acquired it in 2005, our family unit, made up of Clairie, Vincent and their two children, Babou and Yaël, was not specifically intended to work as a receptionist.
We learned around a guesthouse, run for almost 20 years by Vincent, while Clairie devoted herself to architecture, that Babou was leaving to travel the world as a great athlete and that Yaël was growing up quietly.
And then came the COVID crisis, and the questions that followed. The parents were heading towards the end of their professional careers while the children were just beginning, and we took the time to reflect on the future of this very large farm, and the wishes of each family member.
Vincent and Clairie wanted to continue hosting by breaking away from the monotonous rhythm of the holidays and giving more meaning to hospitality, while Babou and Yaël wanted to continue their lives as digital freelancers.
As soon as the lockdown was over, the whole family went on a road trip for a while to think about the path forward.
This is how the idea of coliving was born. We had a corner of paradise in a preserved region and we wanted to be able to share it with people who took their time. The connection was obvious between the parents, who loved their region (but who liked to leave) and the children, who were ultra-connected to the world (but who liked to come back).
So, as we like challenges and because, in this one, everyone could find their place, we created the first rural coliving in the French Pyrenees.
Clairie and Vincent are the brains and hearts of the venue. Clairie designs the plans and directs the work; Vincent handles bookings, welcomes guests, maintains them, and serves as community manager.
Babou and Yaël are the social managers, thanks to their web and social media skills. They ensure the visibility of the place, even though they don't mind coming here regularly to recharge their batteries.
Here we are, embarking on a new, meaningful adventure, and we truly hope you'll want to join our community and enjoy a magical place. We're waiting for you!
