Our actions for a more sustainable world

We believe that every action is important in trying to preserve a sustainable world. Here is a list of the actions we have implemented and those we plan to implement in the coming months and years:

What we have done:

  • LED lighting
  • Timers and home automation for hot water production and outdoor lighting
  • Water consumption reducers, aerators
  • Enhanced insulation on renovated areas
  • Gradual replacement of windows (18 out of 36!)
  • Selective sorting in all accommodations, composting of organic waste
  • Sharing of household appliances: washing machines, irons, hair dryers, vacuum cleaners…
  • Purchase of a very low consumption dryer
  • Progressive replacement of bathtubs with showers
  • Production and sharing of cleaning products
  • Use of washable laundry bags to limit the use of washing machines
  • Loan of bicycles, saddlebags, helmets
  • Installation of electric bicycle charging stations, shelter, and bike washing station
  • Shuttle service to the train station and local market
  • Setting up a drive-thru with delivery for the supermarket to limit vehicle usage.
  • Raising awareness through eco-friendly signage.
  • Promotion, highlighting, and partnership with local actors and producers
  • Volunteer program for organic vegetable gardening
  • Planting fruit trees
  • Herbalism workshops on local plants and their uses

What we have planned:

  • Implementation of a collective vegetable garden with on-site consumption
  • Installation of dry toilets in the garden
  • Reinforcement of insulation under the roof
  • Installation of water collectors
  • Hot water production through thermodynamic water heaters
  • Electric vehicle charging station
  • Workshop for making cleaning products
  • Herbalism workshops on cleaning products and everyday balms
  • Implementation of vegetarian cooking workshops
  • Establishment of a permanent wood workshop
  • Creation of a green wall with rainwater collection, purification, and pond
  • Construction of an energy-positive cabin as a demonstration workshop
  • Opening the venue for conferences, workshops, and discussions on relocalization and low-tech solutions
  • Gradual creation of a reference center for low-tech techniques
  • Support for collaboration between local projects and external expertise
  • Support for local improvement projects through study residencies
